Larson Construction Co., Inc., of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, provides bridge, culvert, and dam repair and construction services, as well as pile driving and temporary sheeting installations throughout the State of Wisconsin. While historically earning revenue from federal, state, and local government contracting, Larson Construction Co., Inc. is pleased to serve our growing list of private clients with excavation, demolition, custom concrete structures, and crane services as well as concrete, timber, and other customized bridge designs and installations.

Larson Construction Co., Inc. is committed to building a strong company infrastructure through investment in our employees, equipment, and safety. We are also dedicated to supporting the infrastructure of our community through investment in organizations such as The Community Foundation of Chippewa County and The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley, which are dedicated to building and strengthening our community.

Our History

Larson Construction Co., Inc. is a third-generation, family-owned business. Founded by Andrew and Doris Larson in 1953, Larson Construction Co., Inc. has been building bridges, box culverts, and other highway structures throughout the State of Wisconsin for more than 60 years.

In 1975, Ray E. Larson acquired Larson Construction Co., Inc. from his parents, and the company prospered under his stewardship. With Ray’s leadership and passion for bridge building, as well as the tremendous work ethic he demanded of himself and his employees, Larson Construction Co., Inc. grew to become one of the leading highway contractors in the State of Wisconsin.

When Ray’s eldest daughter, Megan MacLaughlin-Barck, acquired the company in 2004, Larson Construction Co., Inc. embarked on a path of growth that will always include an unwavering work ethic, integrity in all dealings, and dedication to the needs of our clients, our employees, and our community.

With a keen appreciation for our history and our eyes on the future, Larson Construction Co., Inc. continues on its quest to become the best, small, heavy highway contractor in Wisconsin. Larson Construction Company was founded by Andrew Larson and his wife, Doris, in 1953 at the encouragement of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation. After the passing of Herman Kuhl, Andrew's longtime employer and owner of the Eau Claire Engineering Company, state officials were concerned about the void created in the bridge industry and were anxious to see the company continue. At their suggestion, Andrew and Doris bought the assets from Herman's widow, and Larson Construction Company was born.
